About Annika
My love for solo travel started many years ago in NYC. While Germany will always be home officially, I can find the feeling of home in many unexpected places - like a cottage in the Sri Lankan countryside, staring at a nudibranch underwater or at the corner of Lafayette and Broadway in the rain.
I have lived in New York and Cape Town for many years while traveling all around the globe. Luckily my blog The Midnight Blue Elephant allows me to wander in search of Nemo and noodles - diving and food being two of my favorite things. Now Bangkok is calling my name as a new home base thanks to its proximity to great food and diving in Southeast Asia.
